My first “tell-all” interview and a giveaway of Memory’s Prisoner!

I’m extremely excited to announce my first ever author interview! Lorraine Reguly approached me a few months ago after reading excerpts from several of my eBooks on Smashwords. Since then she’s given me wonderful reviews on Goodreads for both Darkness Falls and Out of the Shadows and has gone one step further by offering to interview me to promote my brand new eBook, Memory’s Prisoner, from Dreamspinner Press, which debuts on December 4, 2013.

Needless to say, I was flattered! No one has ever asked to interview me before, so we decided to go for it with a “tell-all” interview. Everything you ever wanted to know about me personally, my writing persona, how I got started in the gay fiction world and what my turn-ons are are just a click away!

To coincide with the interview I’m running a contest in conjunction with Lorraine for TWO FREE COPIES of Memory’s Prisoner. All it takes to enter is two quick steps for two chances to win!

First – click on the link in the sidebar to follow my blog via email AND leave me a comment here on this entry.

Second – click on the link below to take you to Lorraine’s blog and my interview. Follow her blog via email AND leave a comment over there.

Juggling, juggling…

Gosh I seem to suddenly have a lot of ebook balls in the air at the moment! Not that that’s a bad thing. 🙂

Let’s see, here’s what I’ve got happening:

• My very first author interview will be posted this Friday, November 22nd. I’ve got everything written up that I need to for that one.

• I’ve got a guest author blog spot coming up on Wednesday, December 4th to coincide with the release of Memory’s Prisoner. Just finished writing up everything for that one and submitted it last night.

• I’m taking part in a holiday calendar blog on Tuesday, December 17th. I still need to get everything together for that. But this should be fun. Even though Memory’s Prisoner takes place in the summer months I’ve got a Christmas tree in there. So for my blog spot I’m going to write a short snippet with Mitch and Joey that takes place right after the end of MP with the tree. The perfect tie-in with the holiday season and the release of my book!

• Looking for one more guest author blog spot for December. Shouldn’t be too difficult as I’m finding the Dreamspinner author community is quick to offer up spots when someone needs it. After I get through December I’m planning on returning the favor and opening up my own blog to my fellow authors.

Two lovely reviews of my eBooks

I wanted to share a couple of lovely reviews I’ve gotten on Goodreads from Lorraine Reguly on two of my eBooks – Darkness Falls and Out of the Shadows.

Lorraine approached me several months ago and asked if I would do an interview with her. Needless to say, I was flattered! No one has ever asked me to do an interview about my writing before.

It’s been great fun answering all her questions in my first “tell all” interview. The interview will be posted on November 22nd to promote my new ebook and I’ll be talking more about it then, but in the meantime, many thanks to Lorraine for her lovely words on my books!

Darkness Falls

“Darkness Falls” is a simple story that begins with a catastrophic event that changes the lives of two men forever. An erotic romance that contains an air of mystery, DF is a good read on a rainy afternoon. Its steamy scenes will heat you up!

For a debut novella, the author did well. Because I also read her second book, “Out of the Shadows”, I can say with confidence that her writing has “grown”. Both books have their own merits, as they are two different stories. The storyline in “Darkness Falls” is simplistic yet satisfying. Her second book contains well-developed subplots, more action, and sex scenes that are even more exciting! I’d easily recommend both books, and am looking forward to “Memory’s Prisoner” – coming soon!

Out of the Shadows

“Out of the Shadows” intertwines a growing romantic love story with breathtaking erotica while simultaneously dealing with issues of drug addiction and domestic violence. I was captivated by the characters from the opening pages and enjoyed the journey until the final paragraph! The author, Jamie Lynn Miller, certainly knows how to craft a compelling tale that leaves her readers wanting more. Her attention to detail painted vivid images in my mind and the manner in which she weaves subplots into the story is mesmerizing. The many events that the characters endure lead to an unexpected, yet satisfying, climax. “Out of the Shadows” is exciting and steamy, erotic and tantalizing, and has me admitting that I am hooked on this author and cannot wait to read another one of her novellas! What’s even more amazing is her complete understanding of men, the male body, and their emotions and physical experiences. The author is a truly talented writer. You’ll love this book! I know I did!

Thanks again, Lorraine!

GRL 2014 – in my backyard!

[bounce, bounce, bounce]

Just found out some totally awesome news this morning! Turns out that the next GayRomLit Retreat is going to be held at the Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, IL and I am freaking out!

Why, you ask? Because that’s literally down the street from me. I could actually walk there! SQUEE!

I missed going to Atlanta because I found out about it much too late, having just joined the Dreamspinner Press family of authors. I was joking with a friend that I hoped that next year they’d come to the Chicago area.

I cannot believe I got my wish!

This will be my first GRL event, which is even more exciting. I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about GRL so I’m really looking forward to it. Now all I have to do is keep stalking the GRL site for whenever tickets go on sale. Because I’m not missing out, not when it’s in my own backyard!

This is my first book with Dreamspinner and I would like it to be the start of a beautiful friendship. But I can only do that with YOUR help and support. You guys have always been there for me with regards to my professional writing, and I will be eternally thankful if you purchase my book and/or pimp out the direct link for it.

Thanks, everyone!!

Memory’s Prisoner release date – getting closer!

Wow, suddenly things are moving at lightning speed with Dreamspinner! I had no more than returned the galley proof of Memory’s Prisoner and they asked me for a 300 word author bio. I wrote that up and sent it off. Literally an hour later I get an email from them thanking me and telling me that my author page is now live on their website. An hour after that I get another email telling me that MP is now featured on the “Coming Soon” page, I have a firm release date, the book is now available for pre-order and was given my author login information.

Yikes! LOL!

I’m so excited that I finally have an actual release date! And it’s in December, which I think is very appropriate since it’s my birthday month. What better present than to get published? 🙂

I have to gather some info together and links, etc, so I’ll post again in the next day or so with all the details on how to order my book!

Release day getting closer!

I was thrilled to receive my preliminary galley proof of Memory’s Prisoner from Dreamspinner just the other day. There were a few typos in it that need to be corrected that shouldn’t take them too long. I’m hoping to have the final version by the beginning of next week.

I know the book will be released in December (finally!) but don’t yet have an exact date. I think it’s kind of fitting, though, that it will be in December, as that’s my birthday month. What better present than to be published!
